TIDAL is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Business Intelligence in TIDAL is organized as a BI Competency Center (BICC) according to best practice recommendations by Gartner, but scaled down to a lean format suiting the agile organizational culture. The BI team is part of highly innovative environment and it was the winner of the Norwegian Computer Society’s BI award for innovation 2013.

Our streaming service generates high volumes of data and the BI solutions plays a vital role in supporting the business. The solutions have a wide range of applications such as KPI monitoring, analysis, financial settlement, report distribution, CRM, top lists and external login for labels and artist management.

To handle increasing data volumes and increasing solution complexity we are now expanding the team with a new Senior BI Developer. This position will have a key role in transforming TIDAL into a data-driven organization. It will report to the Head of Business Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new BI solutions
• Maintain existing BI solutions
• Work closely with product owners in all phases of a project to deliver high quality and reliable BI solutions
• Work proactively with the tech department to ensure data quality to the end user
• Overall responsibility for the integrity of the data warehouse

Key competency requirements

• Higher education: MSc, BSc or equivalent – preferably in technology or in the technology management domain
• Skilled in BI and Information Management methodology
• Understanding of BI architecture principles
• Experienced using and managing BI and ETL tools such as Pentaho, Tableau, Microsoft BI, SAP Business Objects, QlikView, Oracle BI, Informatica etc.
• Experience using and managing database systems
• Knowledge of agile and lean development methodology
