Oslo Cancer Cluster is an oncology research and industry cluster dedicated to accelerating the development of new cancer diagnostics and medicines. We gather more than 70 members from Norway and Northern Europe representing the entire oncology value chain. As a Norwegian Centre of Expertise, the Norwegian government partially funds the cluster. An evaluation from 2013 states that Oslo Cancer Cluster is a strong biotech cluster well positioned in the global oncology industry. Major industry trends now offer a unique opportunity to strengthen the cluster's position as a global knowledge and innovation Centre.
Help building the leading oncology cluster in Europe?
Oslo Cancer Cluster and NCE Smart Energy Markets together with four European clusters in medicine and IT managed to land a prestigious Horizon 2020 EU project. The EU project will use innovative IT solutions to develop personalized cancer treatment. Allocated funds is 45 million, of which 34 million is earmarked for small and medium enterprises in the clusters.The EU project has the sounding name "Personalized Medicine Innovation through Digital Enterprise Solutions: PERMIDES', will utilize the digital revolution to develop new systems for cancer treatment. This will be achieved by matching small
and medium enterprises within IT with cancer biotechs in the six clusters. This matching shall take place both virtually and physically. Utilization of accumulated expertise in Big Data Analytics from other industries, such as energy industry, will enable the development of digital systems and solutions.

Qualifications and qualities needed to be successful:
- PhD, or Master degree with relevant working experience, in biology / biochemistry / bioinformatics / ICT
- Working experience in biopharmaceutical industry and / or with innovation projects
- Experience with grant application, project management and reporting (national funding schemes, EU / Horizon 2020)
- Highly motivated and engaged team-player
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent written/oral English
- Self-driven, creative and eager to learn new things
- Hand-on and willingness to make things happen
- Interested in working across sectors (biopharma / ICT)
