In this position, you will be reporting to the Business Unit Leader for Seabed Surveys and you will be highly integral in developing processes in order for iSURVEY to take on an increased level of work within Route Surveys. With this being a new focus area for iSURVEY you will have the opportunity to make a great impact, put forward your own ideas and be crucial in terms of defining the development within this area. In many ways, this is a great opportunity for a Lead Geologist or Geophysicist with ambition.  Your overall responsibility will be to further develop the route survey capabilities within iSURVEY. In addition to this you will have responsibility for processing and interpretation of data from SBP, SSS, Magnometer etc, preparation of data deliverables and reports, coordinating resources and, last but not least the development and improvements of processes and production lines.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive person who has a great passion for geo-subjects and technology in general. You should have great drive and really want to make a positive impact. We also require that you have significant experience with acquisition, processing and interpretation of SBP and SSS data. Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you have experience from combining seabed sampling and geotechnical investigation results within shallow geophysical data in the interpretation of sub seabed oil conditions. Experience from UXO Surveys and knowledge of the EIVA processing suite would also be an advantage.

For this position, we are open to applicants who live outside of Norway but who are willing to relocate to the Oslo area. The position will be based at iSURVEY`s head office in Billingstad, near Oslo, with a few sporadic trips offshore.
