FARA is expanding internationally and seeks a highly motivated colleague to join our journey.
FARA, a leading supplier of IT solutions to the public transport sector, is looking for a talented, proactive and seasoned executive to be Vice President of the Operations department. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive experience with IT projects and program management, and excellent communications skills – internally as well as with customers, suppliers and partners. The Vice President Operations reports directly to the CEO and is part of FARA’s corporate management team. The Operations department consists of Delivery, Support, Configuration, Internal and External (ASP) IT, HW service and Supply Chain.
FARA operates in a market dominated by public enterprises and private transportation companies. Understanding complex development, delivery and service processes is therefore important.

Main tasks and responsibilities
• Responsible for the value chain from delivery to support, service and hosting
• Develop and optimize cooperation and procedures between sub-department
• Responsible for the delivery of effective, profitable and high quality services from the department
• Ensure quality contribution to tenders
• Responsible for contract management
• Actively participate in managing and contributing to the development of the corporate strategy
• Ensure comprehensive competence development within the department
• Budget and P&L responsibility for the department

Your qualifications/experience
• MSc or equivalent from a recognized university
• Relevant experience from a similar position
• Extensive experience within project and program management
• Experience from public tender processes and business development

Your qualities
• Proactive and service-oriented
• Flexible, structured and systematic
• Fluent in Norwegian and English - both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills
