Logistics Operations Lead 

As Logistics Lead you are responsible for day-to-day planning co-ordination, and optimization of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas (NG) deliveries to terminal and customers. You will be a part of a team working with both ships and trucks, domestic an internationally. You will know all about the logistics operations in Skangas and be able to perform the duties required by operative personnel. The right candidate is committed to achieving results, meet with customer demands and reduce costs.

Main tasks

• Develop and drive improvements in internal and external logistics processes, including development of models and tools
• Take an active role in selection and development of logistics suppliers
• Contract management including claims management
• Be a part of Skangas Logistics 24/7 duty support function
• Follow up and develop on Logistic’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Ensure that all activities are safely executed in accordance with the laws, rules, procedures/ instructions and regulations

Educational background and experience

• University degree within logistics or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
• A minimum of five years’ work experience within supply chain  
• Preferable experience from administrative logistics positions, both from on land and at sea . Knowledge about hazardous cargos, in particular gas transports are advantageous
• Good IT-, reporting- and writing skills
• Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language, both written and oral

Reporting line

You will report directly to the Logistics Manager.
